"As a linebacker I learned to shoot the gaps in the offensive line to get to the ball and control the game.  Although sports are a trite business metaphor, certainly the concept of shooting gaps is unique.  We get market share by finding niches, by acquiring extended use patents, by expediting services, by creating novel products, by designing new materials, by creating what has never been done and by rediscovering that which was lost."
